This is a senior position within our team, supporting the Energy & Emissions Manager in the provision of energy transition services to our business units.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Energy & Emissions Manager in the development and delivery of climate change and energy transition commitments, ensuring alignment with our net zero commitment.
- Lead performance reporting and assurance in line with regulatory requirements and targets.
- Engage with stakeholders, including partners, regulatory bodies, and industry associations.
- Influence business decisions to reflect energy transition risks and opportunities.
- Provide input and advice on asset lifecycle energy transition requirements and considerations.
- Coordinate and determine greenhouse gas emissions forecasts to inform our net zero strategy.
- Develop opportunity scenario analysis, company and asset annual scorecards, long-range planning, business development, and field development plans.
- Provide briefings and advice to management on emerging risks and opportunities in the energy transition sector.
- Relevant degree in environmental science or environmental engineering, with extensive industry experience.
- Member of a professional body, with ongoing CPD and working towards Chartered status.
- Experience working in a team with oil and gas operating assets, wells, and project developments in an environmentally related role.
- Well-developed communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across the business and HSES team.
- Self-starter, with a flexible approach to work requirements and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Proficient level of experience in areas such as greenhouse gas forecasting, management, and accounting, data analysis and reporting, global sustainability standards and frameworks, environmental legislation, management systems, and assurance.
