Job Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Roc Search. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing bespoke equipment and automation solutions for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design bespoke and customised project designs for customers from concept to completion.
  • Liaise with other departments, including manufacturing, electrical design, and customers to ensure products meet requirements.
  • Carry out design and hand calculations, and utilise FEA software to ensure designs are robust and efficient.
  • Mentor junior design engineers and lead by example, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Solve complex problems and issues for customers in relation to their design requests.

Key Attributes:

  • Proven experience in designing bespoke automation systems or similar.
  • Proficiency in Solidworks 3D, with the ability to adapt to other software if necessary.
  • Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box.
