We are seeking a reliable HGV driver to join our team in the Haywards Heath area. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out deliveries and collections in the South of England, with routes changing daily depending on workloads. This is an ongoing day work position.

Main Responsibilities

  • As a representative of CDH Recruitment Ltd, the driver must maintain an exemplary general appearance and attitude at all times.
  • The driver must have a 'can-do' attitude and be proactive in resolving any issues that may arise.
  • When interacting with customers, the driver should remain calm and polite, even in difficult situations.
  • The driver must ensure that deliveries are not left unattended unless prior authorization has been given by the depot.
  • Before setting off, the driver must conduct a thorough inspection of the vehicle and record any defects.
  • The driver must be able to move heavy objects around the lorry.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • The driver must hold a valid HGV 1 or 2 licence, accompanied by a valid digital tacho and CPC card.
  • The driver must not have more than 6 points on their licence and must not have been convicted of a DD, DR, or INT endorsement.
  • The driver must be willing to take a driving assessment with the client prior to placement if necessary.

Working Hours

  • The driver will work days, Mondays to Fridays, with weekend shifts available.
