Fund Finance Credit Risk Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fund Finance Credit Risk Manager to join our team at BBVA. As a key member of our Global Credit Financial Institutions team, you will be responsible for analyzing and managing the credit risk of financial institutions, including banks, insurance companies, and funds.
Key Responsibilities- Take full ownership of the Financial Program process (PF), draft the credit review documentation, and prepare the internal risk rating models.
- Present and defend the credit risks proposals at the appropriate risks committees.
- Monitor and review the Alternative Funds sector, with a primary focus on Fund Finance and a portfolio of funds/Asset Managers.
- Facilitate relationships with key clients in CIB and Risk Client Relationships / Business Partnership.
- Perform an ongoing monitoring of the portfolio of Subscription facilities through analysis of relevant information, including Borrowing Base assessment and aspects of legal documentation review.
- At least 7 years of experience in Risk Management covering Financial institutions, Mutual funds, Private Equity, and Institutional Family Offices.
- Experience in a senior financial risk role within a relevant financial services firm or consultancy, with experience of the Alternative Fund/Asset manager sector.
- Experience in bilateral and syndicated Fund Finance transactions (Capital calls, NAV financing...): policy, legal, regulatory, and other matters affecting or potentially affecting the fund finance market and related capital markets.
- Understanding of financial risk management techniques and practices.
- Ability to understand capital markets products and complex financing and product structures from a risk perspective.
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
- Master's degree preferred.
