Senior Construction Procurement Lead

About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled Senior Procurement Manager to lead procurement activities on our biggest and best projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, policies and processes that enhance our supply chain management skills.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for relationship building, sustainable procurement, best value and problem solving. You will work closely with our Senior Procurement Manager to deliver project procurement objectives and requirements, supporting the procurement and estimating team with tendering, market analysis and supplier selection.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies and processes that align with our business objectives.
- Manage and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring compliance with our corporate governance and procurement best practice.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements that meet our business needs, ensuring best value and minimizing risk.
- Provide market intelligence and cost advice to support informed decision-making.
- Lead and support a team of procurement professionals, including training and development.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A strong background in procurement, preferably in the construction industry.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and project management skills.
- Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of procurement laws and regulations.
The estimated salary for this role is £80,000-£120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
