Kido is a pioneering educational institution where innovation and creativity converge to provide exceptional Early Years settings. We're seeking an accomplished Level 3 Early Years Educator to join our team at Kido, located in the heart of London.
We operate globally, with presence in India, the USA, and the UK. In the UK, all our nurseries have been rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted and are situated in prime locations across London and Windsor. With a growth trajectory of opening 1-2 new nurseries annually, we continue to push the boundaries of excellence in education.
We blend the finest principles from Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf Steiner approaches, coupled with a unique curriculum tailored for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Our philosophy revolves around creating a perfect balance of free play, structured learning environments, love, care, and attention, laying a solid foundation for early childhood development.
The Level 3 Early Years Educator role offers a competitive salary of up to £28,750 per annum for full-time, 40-hour workweeks. Part-time hours can be accommodated, so please don't hesitate to inquire. As a member of our team, you'll enjoy:
- A generous annual leave package, including bank holidays, increasing to 30 days after five years of service
- Your birthday off as a special day to relax and recharge
- 70% discount on childcare fees at Kido, subject to availability
- A £500 referral bonus for each successful recommendation
- Enhanced sick pay to support your well-being
- Annual performance-related pay increases to reward your hard work
- Excellent career progression opportunities to help you grow professionally
- Company-wide celebrations and team-building events to foster camaraderie
- Access to a healthcare cash plan for added peace of mind
- The option to access your earnings early through the Hastee app
- Perkbox discounts and savings on thousands of retailers
- A confidential employee assistance program and wellness hub to prioritize your mental health
- A cycle-to-work scheme to encourage sustainable transportation
We strive to cultivate an environment that empowers our team members to excel. As a growing nursery group, we prioritize your professional development, ensuring you're prepared for future opportunities within the company.
This role will be pivotal in shaping the heart of Kido, where passion, ambition, and people drive everything we do. As a qualified Early Years Educator, you'll be more than just a educator – you'll embody our values, fostering a vibrant culture that sets us apart.
Your primary focus will be crafting a safe, inspiring learning environment where every child thrives. Collaborating with your team, you'll ensure that each child's unique needs are met, planning engaging activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Effective communication with parents, children, and colleagues will enable you to deliver exceptional experiences.
You'll play a key role in setting the stage for curiosity and exploration, utilizing both indoor and outdoor spaces. With a hands-on approach and meticulous attention to detail, you'll create unforgettable learning journeys for the children in our care. You'll take ownership of observing and assessing your key children, working closely with colleagues and parents to set individualized goals.
We celebrate every child's unique journey, and you'll be instrumental in assessing and recording their progress and achievements. By aligning with our observation systems, you'll ensure no milestone goes unnoticed and every achievement is celebrated.
We pride ourselves on creating a nurturing environment that caters to individual needs, acknowledging the diversity of each child's background, culture, disabilities, and medical history. Your flexibility, dedication, insights, and feedback will be invaluable as we continuously strive for excellence and reimagine what exceptional early years education truly means.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A relevant childcare qualification, level 2 minimum. For more information on recognized qualifications, visit https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-qualifications-achieved-in-england
- Values aligned with our core principles – Listen, Learn, and Lead
- Experience in a similar role within a nursery or other childcare or educational setting
- The right to work in the UK
- If shortlisted, you'll be asked to provide details of any unspent convictions prior to the interview, in line with our safer recruitment process. An enhanced DBS check will also be conducted for those who join the team
