Occupational Therapist

Ackerman Pierce Ltd is seeking a skilled Community Occupational Therapist to join our team in Doncaster. As a Community Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in reducing double-handed care packages and providing expert advice on home modifications and equipment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments of service users and carers with complex needs in relation to their home environment.
- Provide expert advice and assessments for equipment and home modifications to support independence and safety.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to adapt and modify homes to meet individual needs, reducing or minimizing the need for care packages.
- Ensure a safe and respectful approach when working with vulnerable individuals, prioritizing dignity and respect.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a community setting.
- Manual handling experience and a strong understanding of moving and handling techniques.
- HCPC registration and eligibility to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS/CRB clearance (we can assist with the application process).
- Occupational Therapist qualification and a passion for delivering high-quality care.
