Digital Waffle is seeking a skilled and motivated Data Cabling Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining and enhancing our robust network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity for our operations.

As a Data Cabling Engineer, your responsibilities will encompass the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various cabling systems. You will work with a range of technologies, including copper and fiber optic cables, to ensure reliable data transmission throughout our facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Install and terminate network cables according to industry standards and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cabling issues, identifying and repairing faults in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of cable installations, terminations, and configurations.
  • Work collaboratively with other IT professionals to ensure seamless network integration.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working with electrical and cabling systems.
Qualifications:

We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in data cabling and a strong understanding of networking principles.

  • Hands-on experience installing, terminating, and testing various types of network cables (copper and fiber optic).
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as TIA/EIA 568.
  • Proficiency in using cable testing equipment and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
