About the Role

The Elizabeth School of London is seeking a highly skilled English Language Support Tutor to join our team of Study Support Advisors. As an English Language Support Tutor, you will play a vital role in providing English language support to students whose first language is not English.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about teaching English as a second language and is enthusiastic about helping students meet their academic demands.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver teaching in a variety of learning settings, including seminars, small group tutorials, and lectures, using appropriate and engaging teaching styles.
  • Create English language resources to be shared with students, including materials tailored to help with their particular courses.
  • Provide regular consultation hours for students needing help with writing and presentation skills.
  • Deliver support to students to enhance their learning, including through 1:1 English support appointments.
  • Offer appropriate advice, feedback, and encouragement to students to ensure a high-quality student experience.
  • Design and deliver language support workshops.

Requirements:

  • TESOL/CELTA or other English teaching qualification.
  • Experience in teaching English language with relevant delivery, assessment, and student support.
  • Demonstrable organisational and personal management skills.
  • Demonstrable interpersonal and communication skills.
