Care Assistant Opportunity at Harrier Grange Care Home

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Harrier Grange Care Home, a leading provider of residential, dementia, nursing, and respite care in Hampshire.

As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care and support to our residents, promoting their independence, dignity, and overall well-being. You will work closely with our experienced care team to ensure that each resident receives personalized care and attention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with daily routines, including personal care, mobility, and medication management.
  • Support residents with their nutritional needs, including meal preparation and assistance with eating and drinking.
  • Encourage social interaction among residents and with staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager.
  • Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident, ensuring they feel valued and cared for in every interaction.

Requirements:

  • SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant or in a related role.
  • Passion for caring for the elderly and commitment to delivering excellent service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate of £11.44.
  • Contracted to 36 or 48 hours per week.
  • Paid breaks and pension scheme.

  • Uniform provided and 5.6 weeks annual leave.
