Senior Financial Controller

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide financial leadership and business partnering to internal teams across the division
- Oversee cash flow management and proper fund deployment across the division
- Lead the annual budget process and quarterly re-forecasts in collaboration with the Finance Director
- Ensure accurate monthly management accounts and insightful reporting to senior management
- Oversee statutory audits and maintain strong internal audit controls
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and productivity improvements across the division
- Manage and develop the Finance team to ensure high performance
- Collaborate with the Divisional Leadership Team on strategic initiatives
What We're Looking For:
- A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong commercial and operational finance awareness, experience with annual budgeting and forecasting, and a keen eye for process improvement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and work well in a fast-paced, changing environment
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- At least 3 years of experience in a senior finance role
- Experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally within utilities or a similar industry
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to provide clear, actionable financial insights
- Experience leading annual budget and forecasting processes
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and contribute to strategic business decisions
- Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Strong analytical and organisational skills, with attention to detail
- Experience with automating processes and systems improvements
- Knowledge of tax regulations and financial reporting standards
