Job Description

This 1:1 role involves working closely with the Class Teacher to develop strategies that cater to the child's unique learning requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a positive and supportive learning environment, promoting social and emotional growth, and encouraging academic progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • To implement behaviour management strategies that foster a sense of calm and confidence in the child.
  • To work collaboratively with the Class Teacher to identify and address areas of need, developing targeted interventions to promote learning and progress.
  • To maintain accurate records of the child's progress, providing regular updates to the Class Teacher and other relevant staff members.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A strong understanding of SEMH needs and the ability to adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to work as part of a team, contributing to the development of effective classroom practices.
