Private Client Tax Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Private Client Tax Manager to join our team. As a key member of our tax team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of private clients, trusts, and partnerships, providing exceptional client service, and producing high-quality work efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage annual tax returns for assigned clients
- Liaise with HM Revenue & Customs on behalf of clients
- Handle a diverse range of personal tax assignments, including tax forecasting, residence, and domicile considerations, capital gains tax planning, and enquiry work
- Address client issues and queries promptly
- Maintain regular contact with clients
- Manage billing responsibilities for your portfolio of clients, trusts, and partnerships
- Collaborate with the team to meet deadlines and exceed client expectations
- Train and supervise junior staff
- Strong team mentality with the ability to work independently
- Qualified Tax Advisor (ATT/CTA) or qualified by experience
- Experience in a private client/personal tax environment in practice
- Proficiency with tax preparation software and HMRC online services
- Excellent organisational skills and experience managing a busy client portfolio
- Attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Confident and adaptable communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proactive and determined attitude
- Strong client service orientation
- Salary circa £50,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualification status
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

ACCA / ACA / ATT or CTA qualified. Previous experience in personal tax compliance and planning is advantageous. Solid experience working within an accountancy practice. Ideally, 5+ years of experience in Personal Tax. Excellent communication skills.
