Job Title: Band 5 Senior Production Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Production Technician to join our Pharmacy Production Unit at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the day-to-day activities of one of our production teams, including the Chemotherapy unit, Sterile Batches Unit, Central Intravenous Additive Service (CIVAS), and Non-Sterile Manufacturing Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all products are manufactured in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), COSHH, and Health and Safety Directives.
  • Develop and maintain personal expertise in all technical aspects of manufacture and extemporaneous preparation.
  • Train and mentor new and less experienced staff.
  • Assist the Chief Technician in the management of the production unit.
