Role Overview

This role involves working in a single testing room practice, where you will be responsible for conducting 30-minute tests using the latest lens technology and equipment, including auto-refractors, fundus cameras, and OCTs.

You will work as part of a small team of 3-4 people, with a flexible schedule of three days per week. Our opening hours are from 8:30am to 5pm, with no weekend work required.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct eye tests and provide expert advice to patients.
  2. Maintain high standards of quality and service in all aspects of your work.
  3. Work collaboratively with the team to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
  4. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in optometry and continuously improve your skills and knowledge.

In return for your expertise and dedication, you can expect a competitive salary between £50,000 to £65,000, pro rata, plus contributions to professional fees and 22 days' holiday, plus bank holidays, pro rata.

Requirements
  1. Registered Optometrist with the General Optical Council (GOC).
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Able to work effectively in a small team environment.
  4. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry advancements.
