Job Description

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled financial leader to join our team as a Lead Financial Strategist. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of our short-, medium- and long-term financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial plans and strategies to achieve business objectives
  • Lead and manage a team of financial professionals to ensure effective financial management and reporting
  • Provide financial guidance and support to the Executive Leadership team and other Heads of Service
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including Housing SORP and RSH Financial Returns

Requirements:

  • CCAB qualified with a record of CPD in finance
  • Experience of financial planning, treasury management, VAT and tax compliance, and internal and external audit
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience of leading and developing a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Knowledge of financial IT systems and ability to interpret complex financial information
