We are seeking an exceptional Academic Mentor to join our team at Plumstead Manor School. As an Academic Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of a tailored curriculum for vulnerable learners in our Pathways Provision.

Our Pathways Provision is a pioneering initiative that offers a supportive environment for students who require additional support and guidance. You will work closely with our teaching staff to promote high expectations for behaviour and academic achievement, and to deliver a suite of graduated 'early help' interventions to address social, emotional, and behavioural needs.

We are looking for an outstanding practitioner who is familiar with best practice in teaching students with specific learning and special educational needs, or who pose behavioural challenges. You will be able to liaise with a range of staff across the school, and to disseminate best practice to them.

As an Academic Mentor, you will be part of a vibrant and diverse community that is committed to providing excellence for all. You will have access to excellent professional development and guidance, and will be working in a school with a firm commitment to an inclusive ethos.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expect all staff to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to be DBS checked prior to taking up post.
