Visual Design Craftsperson

We are seeking a skilled craftsman to drive the visual language of solutions to our users' problems. As a master of your craft, you know when to follow UI kits or evolve them, always ensuring structure and consistency. Your expertise lies in creating amazing layouts and typographic lockups, and you have a deep understanding of the 'magic' numbers, from leading to kerning to opacity, to those special greys.

We are a small product design studio based in London, working with industry-leading clients who invest in user-centered design and recognize its strategic value for the business. Our clients come from industries including mapping, automotive, internet of things, and imaging.

Our approach to work is centered around

  • working from deep insight into user needs and behavior and translating those into UI ideas and elegant visuals
  • working as part of a team of expert designers who have previously worked at Google, Sony, and Microsoft
  • evolving best practices by learning from each other and responding to unique challenges of each project
  • practicing the craft and getting better at what you love doing
  • flexible and remote working
  • learning about maps, cartography, and data visualization
  • solving business problems through design

Deliverables

  • you will work on the overall design look and feel, based on the product architecture and wireframes
  • exploring different visual approaches that might be evaluated with target users
  • detailed visual design for UI components and states
  • defined approach to color, typography, iconography, and layout
