\Salary: £15,700 in Year 1, progressing each year to £25,000 in Year 4 (subject to satisfactory performance)
\Job Description:
\We are seeking an experienced Apprentice Field Forklift Engineer to join our team. As an Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in lift truck maintenance and repair principles, working under the guidance of our experienced engineers.

- Complete a 3-year apprenticeship qualification: Diploma in Lift Truck Maintenance & Repair Principles SCQF Level 7\
- Gain on-the-job experience, starting with shadowing your mentor and other engineers, progressing to performing tasks under supervision, then alongside qualified engineers where your work will be checked and signed off\
- Undertake further internal training and gain independent on-the-job practical experience in Year 4\
- Work will be carried out on customers' premises and at Briggs Equipment Group workshop locations within your specified region\
- Upon successful completion of the programme, you will be considered for a permanent contract as a fully qualified engineer with starting salary expectations c.£30k+ dependent on location\
- We encourage internal progression, and many of our colleagues started their careers as apprentices\
- You will have the opportunity to work with a range of materials handling and powered access equipment, including forklift trucks and other heavy machinery\\
- As an apprentice, you will be required to obtain a full UK driving licence by the end of the 3rd year of the programme to be considered for a permanent contract as a fully qualified engineer\\
- Prior work or voluntary experience is desirable but not essential\\
