Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Graduate Youth Worker to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a Graduate Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of young people with complex social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with a wide range of students with varying needs, including anxiety, social withdrawal, anger issues, trauma, grief, and social difficulties.
- Develop and implement individualized support plans to promote positive behavior and increase student engagement.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to student support.
- Provide one-to-one and group mentoring to students, focusing on building confidence, self-esteem, and social skills.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of social-emotional learning programs and activities.
Requirements:
- Relevant degree in a field such as Criminology, Psychology, or Education.
- Experience working with young people with complex needs, preferably in a school or educational setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
