- Business Analysis and Decision Support: Collaborate with senior leadership to analyze business performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies for growth.
- Financial Operations and Controls: Liaise with local accounting functions to maintain efficient accounting operations, accurate financial information, and robust financial controls.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Produce and analyze local financial reports, including revenue recognition, accruals, reserves, and KPIs, to monitor company performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Working Capital Management: Proactively manage working capital to optimize cash flow and minimize risk.
- Business Development and Growth: Support the business in driving growth and achieving financial objectives, through proactive challenge and strategic planning.
- Annual Operating Plans and Forecasts: Take a leading role in preparing annual operating plans and forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all local legal, tax, and statutory reporting requirements are fulfilled, including liaison with auditors and professional advisers.
- Financial Controls and Risk Mitigation: Implement and maintain adequate financial controls and review systems to ensure accuracy and minimize risk.
- Group Finance Initiatives: Implement Group Finance initiatives, monitor progress, and report back on status and deviations.
- Finance Team Development: Develop and coach a strong and stable finance team.
- Credit Collections and Cash Flow Management: Manage credit collections, including credit limit determination, AR overdue tracking, and settlement with external customers.
- Cash Flow Planning and Reporting: Plan and report cash flow for future periods, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Project Profitability Tracking: Work closely with Sales and Project Management to track project profitability.
- Annual Physical Stock Check: Support the Annual Physical Stock Check with the Procurement and Logistics Manager.
- Financial Issues and Reporting: Work closely with senior leadership on financial issues and provide timely notification of identified findings.
- ERP System Management: Ensure the ERP system provides necessary information for company reporting.
- Quality Standards and Contract Management: Support the company in maintaining quality standards and manage business utility contracts.
We're looking for a Financial Controller with:
- Professional Qualifications: ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified, or equivalent.
- Financial Experience: UK GAAP or IFRS experience.
- Control and Process Experience: Experience working with good controls and processes.
- Business Partnering Skills: Excellent business partner to senior leadership.
- People Management Skills: Strong people manager.
We offer a competitive package, including:
- Salary: £65,000 - £70,000.
