Plymouth Management Accountant Job Description

Job Summary:

This role requires an experienced Management Accountant to provide accurate management and financial accounts, reports, and commentary to senior management. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues throughout the business and have a highly commercial nature to their role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts with accompanying commentary for senior management.
  • Provide senior finance team with key financial intelligence to assist in ongoing projects, financial analysis, and budget/target reporting.
  • Commentate on monthly financial reporting pack data to financial and non-financial department leaders.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly reviews and annual budgets.
  • Ensure timely VAT reporting.
  • Support budgeting and business planning efforts.
  • Contribute to the preparation for annual audit.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and communication skills, with experience in a business partnering or management accounting capacity. Previous experience in a manufacturing/FMCG environment is highly advantageous, although not essential. Qualified professionals (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or those qualified by experience are encouraged to apply.

A strong understanding of MS Excel and other IT systems is required. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary range of £35-45,000.
