Job Description

Staff Power Group Limited is working with a client requiring precision-engineered components for various industries. As a CNC Turner, you will play a crucial role in meeting this demand.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Machining High-Quality Components: Efficiently produce parts to meet production demands, adhering to exact specifications.
  • Programming and Production Methods: Create programs and production methods for new parts, ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Machining Operations: Set up and operate CNC turning machines equipped with FANUC controls, maintaining optimal performance.
  • Quality Control & Inspection: Conduct first-off inspections using gauges and measuring instruments to guarantee component quality.
  • Team Contribution: Support production planning, material ordering, and daily workshop operations, promoting a collaborative environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Maintain a clean, organized workspace and actively participate in ISO9001 processes, driving continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • CNC Turning Expertise: Proven expertise with CNC turning machines and programming.
  • Drawing Interpretation: Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings with both imperial and metric dimensions.
  • Mechanical Engineering: Solid understanding of mechanical engineering and machining principles.
  • Self-Inspection: Ability to self-check and inspect your work before passing it to the next stage of production.
  • Teamwork: A team-oriented, self-motivated professional who is reliable and meets deadlines consistently.

Salary: Estimated at £45,000 - £55,000 per annum.
