This is an excellent opportunity to work with a reputable firm, specializing in personal injury claims and conveyancing services. As a Personal Injury Fee Earner, you will be responsible for progressing your own case loads efficiently, ensuring client satisfaction and maximizing the firm's interests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effective use of the firm's case management system to manage and track case progress.
  • Manage own case load efficiently, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Liaise with referrers and manage their expectations regarding quality and service standards.
  • Take initial instructions from clients, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation.
  • Assess and vet claims at initial stages, identifying potential issues and areas for further investigation.
  • Investigate liability and assess quantum, liaising with Counsel and instructing them as necessary.
  • Liaise with Insurers, negotiating settlements and resolving disputes.
  • Draft and prepare court documents, as required.
  • Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes, ensuring fair and reasonable outcomes.
  • Provide weekly reports to team managers, highlighting progress and any issues.
  • Train new staff entering the department, sharing knowledge and expertise.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a legal services provider.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple cases.
  • Basic typing skills and proficiency in computer software, including case management systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, referrers, and colleagues.
