KIPP North Carolina is a network of high-performing, college-preparatory public charter schools providing an academically rigorous and joyous school experience to over 3,500 students in grades K-12 in the Charlotte area. The salary for this position is estimated to be around $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Execute KIPP Foundation Provided Curriculum in 9-12 All Subjects.
  • Deliver lessons and create exemplar responses for students to hold them accountable.
  • Use assessment data to drive instruction and make adjustments.
  • Embrace feedback and maintain accurate gradebook records.

Additional Responsibilities: Maintain a clean classroom, develop positive relationships with students, families, and staff, and participate in daily school functions. As an EC Teacher, you will provide specially designed instruction, utilize general education curriculum, and develop individualized education plans for students with disabilities.

Requirements:
  • A commitment to KIPP NC's mission.
  • A valid North Carolina teaching license.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant content area.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 2 full years of teaching experience in EC/SPED General Curriculum.
  • Demonstrated success in raising achievement levels of traditionally underserved students.
