About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Part Time Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join our small and cohesive team in Great Yarmouth. The ideal candidate will have excellent links with the whole Speech and Language Therapy Service as well as the ECCH Neurology MDT.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is patient focused, outcome driven and flexible in their approach. We place a high value on team working and you will be responsible for supervising a band 5 colleague and Speech and Language Therapy students from the University of East Anglia (UEA).

The post holder will have the opportunity to work with adults with acquired and progressive communication and swallowing disorders across various community settings within the East Coast Community Healthcare CIC (ECCH) geographical boundaries.

This role includes complex communication and dysphagia assessment and intervention in various community settings. You must have appropriate post graduate training and experience.

As a Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for:

  • Assessing and diagnosing patients with communication and swallowing disorders
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans to improve patient outcomes
  • Supervising junior colleagues and students
  • Contributing to local and national audit and quality measures
