Associate Portfolio Manager Role

Clarence George is collaborating with a leading UK insurer on an exciting opportunity for an Associate Portfolio Manager. This position is part of the investment function, where the team operates across deal execution, portfolio management, and trading.

This hire will be responsible for assisting portfolio managers in managing the derivatives (interest rate, inflation, and FX) portion of the portfolio. The team is highly collaborative, offering a breadth of opportunities to work across different areas, including liquidity and collateral management, and new business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support portfolio managers in derivatives portfolio management
  • Collaborate with the team to manage liquidity and collateral
  • Contribute to new business initiatives
  • Develop strong technical skills in Python or other advanced languages

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience from the buy/sell side
  • Knowledge of derivatives and experience in a rates/fixed income setting
  • Insurance balance sheet knowledge is beneficial but not essential
  • Strong technical skills with working knowledge of Python or other advanced languages
