European Road Freight Operator - Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Freight Operations Coordinator to join our team at Get Staff. As a European Road Freight Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating shipments and communicating with customers and overseas agents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate shipment details with customers and overseas agents.
  • Organise and plan loads while coordinating with hauliers to ensure efficient transport routes.
  • Prepare and raise the necessary export documentation to facilitate trailer transit through UK ports and European borders.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving any issues that arise.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years in road freight operations is required.
  • A good standard of education is necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including a professional telephone manner.
  • Previous experience with trade lanes: Covering all of Europe.
  • Must have sound knowledge of both import and export processes (road).
  • Proficient in using computer systems; additional training will be provided for in-house software.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and learning is essential.
