Salary: £29,919 - £32,312 per annum, plus £3,900 annual sleep-in allowance. This competitive salary reflects our commitment to attracting and retaining top talent in the field of residential childcare.

Job Description:

As a Residential Support Worker at A Wilderness Way, you will play a vital role in providing emotional support and stability to our young residents. You will work directly with a small team of 6, as well as receive full support from your Managers, Multi-Disciplinary Team, Education Department, and Outdoor Team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing emotional support and guidance to our young residents
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with residents, their families, and other stakeholders
  • Participating in regular staff meetings and contributing to the development of policies and procedures

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience working directly with children or young people (not necessarily in a residential setting)
  • Enthusiasm, energy, and a commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others
  • Ability to work flexibly, including night shifts and weekends
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification

Working Arrangements:

We offer a condensed shift pattern of two days on and four days off, including sleeps on a set rolling rota. This allows for a great work-life balance and provides opportunities for rest and relaxation outside of work hours.
