Job Summary: Finishing Operative

We are seeking a skilled Finishing Operative to join our team at Adept Resourcing Engineering in Rotherham, UK.

This is a fantastic opportunity to refine your skills and contribute to the production of high-quality metal components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and remove surface defects from castings using high precision methods.
  • Apply advanced hand tool techniques to achieve optimal component finishes.
  • Dress castings to precise specifications, meeting stringent tolerances.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to prepare castings for welding, aligning with NDT and CMM guidelines.
  • Implement rigorous weld mapping procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Efficiently use measurement tools to verify component dimensions.
  • Perform various tasks including de-burring, fettling, grinding, and ceramic mould removal.

Requirements:
  • Demonstrate exceptional manual dexterity and precision.
  • Experience working within very close tolerances is essential.
  • Familiarity with working with Titanium materials is advantageous.
  • Proactive attitude and commitment to continuous learning.
  • Strong mathematical skills to support precision engineering requirements.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed.
  • Safe operation of complex machinery, including overhead cranes and forklift trucks.

Package Offered: £25,600 + Shift Allowance (£11.50 - £13.50 per hour) + Unique opportunity to work in a dynamic team environment.
