Ackerman Pierce Ltd is working closely with County Councils and Schools to provide one-to-one tutoring for children waiting for school placements. These children have a range of additional complex needs, requiring experienced SEN/HLTA's/tutors/teachers.

Job Summary
  • We are currently recruiting for a Secondary Maths and English Outreach Tutor to provide face-to-face provision to SEND Students who need access to alternative education.
Key Responsibilities
  • Location: Saffron Walden
  • Position: KS3 and KS4 Maths and English Outreach Tutor for a student with ASD and SEMH needs
  • Tuitions will take place between 08:30 am and 04:30 pm, Monday to Friday
  • The successful candidate will be required to work 15 hours per week (3 hours per day)

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Are available during school hours up to 30 hours per week
  • Have experience in teaching young people with a wide range of complex and challenging needs, including SEMH/ASC/MLD/SpLD
  • Are prepared to work face-to-face within the community
Requirements
  • Background teaching in English, Maths, or SEN classes ranging from KS1-KS5
  • QTS status (or equivalent) or unqualified with two years' experience teaching NC core subjects
  • At least 2 years of previous experience working within a UK school
