About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Net Zero Emissions Specialist to join our climate change consultancy team at ERM. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in assisting organisations in their journey towards achieving net-zero emissions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Net Zero Emissions Specialist, you will provide strategic guidance, technical expertise, and innovative solutions to help clients reduce their emissions and contribute to a more sustainable future. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the analysis of carbon emissions from multiple perspectives, including understanding carbon emissions impact, target setting, and developing emissions reduction roadmaps.
  • Supporting clients in meeting assessment and disclosure needs, including preparing reports, workshop materials, and technical summaries.
  • Developing and implementing Net Zero strategies for clients, including identifying opportunities for emissions reduction and recommending solutions.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across services lines and geographies to deliver value-added services to ERM's international client base.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Relevant technical degree or 5+ years' experience in environmental consulting, climate change, or a related industry position.
  • Strong experience and detailed technical knowledge of GHG accounting and reporting principles, mechanisms, methodologies, and schemes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels.
