Finance Analyst Role

The Finance Analyst position at Greenwell Gleeson Ltd is a key role within the corporate function, focusing on all aspects of financial management and reporting. This role involves educating and challenging corporate functions regarding commercial awareness and business appraisal, ensuring delivery in all areas of the profit and loss account.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and accurate period-end reporting, including SAP BPC reporting, variance analysis, and commentary.
  • Deliver timely and accurate departmental reporting with relevant commentary to support variances against budget and outturn.
  • Assist with business forecasting and planning, developing action plans, monitoring progress, and identifying corrective action.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations on a periodic basis to ensure accurate recording of assets and liabilities.
  • Maintain procedures and systems of internal control to ensure safe stewardship and custody of assets and maintain the integrity of financial records.
  • Work in partnership with corporate functions to educate and support, ensuring achievement of business objectives and financial targets.
  • Be an integral member of the corporate finance team, creating a climate of openness, mutual respect, and trust.
  • Proactively challenge the management of financial and business risks and opportunities where appropriate.
  • Provide support to the Lead Finance Analyst and Finance Manager in ad-hoc reporting and analysis to achieve business objectives.
