Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our Pre-Assessment team at our Newcastle upon Tyne Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth transition of patients through our pre-operative assessment process.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments for patients undergoing a range of operations, including orthopaedic, general surgery, urological, gynaecology, cosmetic, and plastic surgery procedures.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of patient health conditions, social circumstances, and post-operative recovery needs.
- Utilize excellent communication skills to effectively interact with consultant surgeons, anaesthetists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Work collaboratively as part of a close-knit team to deliver high-quality, matron-led care in a consultant-led service.
- Provide empathetic and supportive care to patients and their families, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
