Job Summary:

We're looking for a highly skilled Technical Content Specialist to create high-quality technical publications, acceptance test procedures, and build plans for our world-leading, safety-critical products. As a Technical Content Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Writing and researching technical publications using engineering drawings, CAD models, and production standards.
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues by liaising with relevant departments.
  • Defining and specifying illustration requirements to meet industry standards.
  • Facilitating, demonstrating, and validating using appropriate equipment and techniques.
  • Proofreading documents to meet quality standards and task deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Strong listening and communication skills.
  • Experience with desktop publishing software (e.g., FrameMaker).
  • Proficiency in SGML, XML, and DITA.
  • Aerospace engineering experience, preferably in a military context.
  • Commitment to high standards and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Simplified English.
  • Practical experience in mechanical engineering and technical authorship.

Qualifications:

  • City & Guilds 5360 Part 1 & 2 (Engineering, Technical Communication and Authoring) or equivalent.
