Behavioural Support Specialist

About the Role:
Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Officer to join one of our partner schools in the Bradford area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with behavioural needs.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive learning environments.
- Work closely with teaching staff, SENCO, and parents to monitor and support students' progress.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individual behaviour support plans.
- Promote emotional and social development, helping students build resilience and self-esteem.
- Support classroom teachers with general class management and behaviour intervention.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an education environment is essential - ideally in a behaviour support, teaching assistant, or pastoral role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
- Positive attitude and a proactive approach to supporting students' individual needs.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field.
