Decommissioning Technician

Amentum is a global technical and engineering services partner, committed to delivering safe and successful projects.

We are currently recruiting for Nuclear Decommissioning Technicians to join the team in Aldermaston, working on long-term decommissioning projects.

As a Nuclear Decommissioning Technician, you will be involved in day-to-day decommissioning activities, including size reduction, decontamination, and waste processing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Operating cutting and lifting tooling, band saws, nibblers, and reciprocating saws
  • Undertaking size reduction, dismantling, and decontamination of plant and equipment
  • Maintaining housekeeping standards and performing waste processing duties
  • Assisting in the construction of modular containment systems
  • Complying with safety regulations, including wearing RPE equipment and respirators

Full training will be provided to successful candidates, and a pre-employment medical and drug test will be required.
