About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nurse Consultant to join our Community Care Group North team. As a key member of our Universal Crisis Team, you will play a vital role in providing expert clinical practice and professional leadership to our Community Mental Health services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of nursing practice within Community Mental Health services, driving innovation and excellence in patient care.
  • Take the lead in extending boundaries and creating frameworks for the enhancement of nursing within your specialty, ensuring best practice and evidence-based care.
  • Provide expert clinical supervision and leadership to a team of healthcare professionals, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Develop and deliver education and training programs for staff and other agencies, enhancing the skills and knowledge of our team and partners.
  • Conduct research and service evaluation to inform the development of our services and improve patient outcomes.
  • Exercise full responsibility and autonomy for the therapy of clients, ensuring appropriate assessment, formulation, and interventions.
  • Work therapeutically with adults of all ages, utilizing a range of evidence-based modalities and approaches.
  • Lead service development changes, staying up-to-date with the evolving healthcare agenda and its implications for nursing practice.
  • Facilitate quality improvement in practice, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in training and education/lecturing within a higher education field is highly desirable.
Requirements
  • First-level Registered Nurse qualification and a Postgraduate qualification at Masters level or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced level therapeutic training in one of the following modalities: Non-medical Prescribing, CBT, DBT, PSI, EFT, NLP, and Family Interventions.
  • Substantial experience in a nursing leadership role, with a proven track record of leading service development changes.
  • Experience of working therapeutically with adults of all ages and a range of other client groups.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
