Job Summary:

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Junior Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of annual statutory accounts under FRS102 and UK corporation tax return information.
  • Support the monthly/quarterly/annual Corporate reporting process under US GAAP.
  • Partner with intercompany accounting teams to review, reconcile, and agree on intercompany invoicing in multiple currencies and jurisdictions.
  • Participate in the month-end process and produce management accounts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely fixed asset reporting, including assisting the business in capitalizing large projects.
  • Analyze and report on key general ledger codes.
  • Assist in reviewing and resolving accounts payable and GRIR items.
  • Collaborate with the ICO customer service team on financial entries.
  • Support internal and external audit requests, providing clear explanations and documents.
  • Participate in project work and process improvements as required.

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proven ability to set goals and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
