Job OverviewThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to staff, ensuring a safe and stimulating learning environment for children, and working closely with parents/carers.
Key Responsibilities:- To take overall responsibility for the running of the setting in the absence of the Manager.
- To provide coaching and support to staff, promoting good practice and enabling them to develop their skills and knowledge.
- To work closely with parents/carers, building effective relationships and ensuring each child's needs are recognised and met.
- To maintain a high-quality enabling environment, ensuring that children have access to a wide range of activities and resources.
- To identify potential child protection issues and take appropriate action in accordance with nursery policies.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent.
- Experience of working in a childcare setting, preferably in a senior or management role.
- Excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to inspire and empower others.
- A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the ability to apply its principles in practice.
- Knowledge and experience of observation, assessment and planning.
The salary for this role is estimated to be between £35,000 and £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including professional development opportunities, flexible working arrangements, and a supportive team environment.
