Dementia Care Assistant

We're looking for a Dementia Care Assistant (Bank) to join our team at Barchester Healthcare. As a Dementia Care Assistant, you'll work closely with our residents who live with dementia, providing personalized support and care to enhance their quality of life. Your tasks will include assisting with daily living activities, managing medications, and promoting independence. We're seeking candidates who have experience working with individuals with dementia, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate empathy and understanding. The estimated salary for this position is around £10-£12.50 per hour, and we also offer a range of benefits including comprehensive training and development opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Manage medications and ensure residents take them correctly
- Promote independence and encourage residents to engage in activities they enjoy
