Production Planning Coordinator

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual with prior planning and procurement experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to join our team at Marmion. As a Production Planning Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring that production operations are well-equipped, informed, and set for success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the short-term production schedule, effectively communicating any changes across the business.
  • Conduct inventory management and weekly stock assessments at our warehouse; adjust logistical requirements based on production outcomes.
  • Coordinate raw materials to arrive on site for production on a 'just in time' basis.
  • Handle works orders, monitor stock movements, and ensure accurate matching of delivery notes to purchase orders.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement, assist in stock takes, investigate discrepancies, and ensure data is correctly inputted and KPIs are on track.
  • Support and deputise for the Planning Manager when required; utilise Orchestrate to generate production plans.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a planning role, ideally within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • A natural problem solver, with a proactive approach and ability to react and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A full clean driving licence, with access to own vehicle.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
  • Exceptional organisation and time management skills; able to effectively manage multiple priorities whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail.
