Job Summary:
Butler Rose is seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing supplier invoices, reconciling statements, and managing aged payables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and verify supplier invoices in our financial system, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
- Reconcile supplier statements and match invoices against purchase orders to ensure accuracy.
- Review and manage aged payables, applying credit notes and resolving disputes with suppliers.
- Allocate payments, maintain supplier records, and manage the accounts payable inbox.
- Support the finance team with administrative tasks and escalate payment requests when necessary.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally.
- Proficiency in financial software, including Sage 50 and Excel.
- AAT qualification or similar accounting certification is desirable but not essential.
