About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Rehabilitation Instructor to support our new programmes of care. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with experienced hospital and community therapists to deliver high-quality rehabilitation services to individuals in their own or healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and design rehabilitation programmes for individual patients and groups, working closely with physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist and conduct exercise and rehabilitation classes, both on-site and off-site, independently and with assistance from physiotherapists and physiotherapy assistants.
- Provide physical assistance and guidance to patients as needed, helping them to regain confidence and independence.
- Advise rehabilitation carers on the delivery of exercise programmes and progressions following reassessment.

Requirements
- Full and valid driving licence
- Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification
- Level 3 or 4 Personal Training Diploma or equivalent
- First Aid qualification
- Member of the Register of Exercise Professionals
- Appropriate liability insurance
- Or Otego qualification and equipment ordering and assessment training
- Proven delivery of community balance and falls prevention classes
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Background in anatomy, biology, exercise physiology, and sports biomechanics
- Broad range of other qualifications (Exercise to Music, Circuit Training, Resistance equipment and free weights, Obesity and Diabetes Management)
- Foundation degree in Health and Social Care
- Proven teaching experience
- Evidence of group and individual exercise instruction
- Experience in designing individual and group exercise programmes
- At least one year experience of fitness or sports coaching, or four years experience in delivery and providing rehabilitation support within a community or hospital setting
