The Hyde Group is seeking a skilled Neighbourhood Officer to join our team. As a Neighbourhood Officer, you will play a vital role in creating a secure and comfortable living environment for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct property inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and improve standards.
- Perform welfare and vulnerability checks with customers and create personalized risk assessments where necessary.
- Provide a proactive front-line service to customers, fostering strong relationships with residents, community groups, and local authorities.
- Deliver operational tasks related to fire safety and building safety legislation across in-scope buildings.
- Identify and assess potential safety risks and hazards, conducting regular inspections and risk assessments to improve standards.
- Ensure properties meet all relevant regulatory and compliance standards, including health and safety regulations, fire safety standards, and building codes.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to property management activities.
- Evaluate the performance of safety-related contracts and service providers, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a site-based Neighbourhood or Housing position.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
- Problem-solving skills to address maintenance and tenancy issues.
