Payroll and Accounts Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Financial Support role candidate to join our client's finance team in the Poole area. As a Financial Support role, you will provide administrative support to the Finance Manager and ensure the smooth operation of the Accounts Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide financial administrative support to the Finance Manager
- Process payroll data using Sage, including deductions and holiday pay
- Manage staff hours worked and maintain accurate records
- Process payments for suppliers and reconcile bank statements
- Run reports for Inland Revenue and prepare relevant payments
- Update and submit FPS and EPS for maternity pay
- Issue P60s and complete end-of-year payroll tasks
- Deal with pay-related queries from staff
- Balance end-of-day takings and run reports
- Enrol pensions and manage contributions
Requirements and Skills:
- A background in accounting or a related field
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A good working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Sage payroll software
- A team player approach and excellent problem-solving skills
