Process Improvement Director

We are recruiting for a Production Manager to join our team at CHEP Severnside Plant in the UK. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of 150 staff and overseeing all production activities on site.
About the Role:
- Implement effective strategies to achieve Zero Harm and Safety Differently.
- Develop and enforce Zero Defect policies and procedures to ensure high-quality outputs.
- Achieve production targets and efficiency goals, improving process reliability and increasing productivity.
- Lead and engage operations teams, fostering a culture of excellence and alignment with business objectives.
- Apply data-driven decision making, leveraging risk assessments, root cause analysis, and best practices to inform changes and improvements.
- Monitor and report performance metrics, including plant efficiency, OEE, near misses, and product flow compliance.
- Leverage Kaizen and DMAIC methodologies to drive improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Experienced in team and shift leadership.
- Nebosh qualified (IOSH accepted).
- Prior experience in lean-based or CI operational roles is advantageous.
- Familiarity with quality-focused environments and quality standards.
- Highly organized, flexible, proactive, self-motivated, and persistent approach.
- Excellent coaching skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Leadership, project management, and change management capabilities.
The salary for this role is estimated to be around £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
