Conservation Horticulturist

We are seeking a talented Conservation Horticulturist to join our team at Cumbria Wildlife Trust. This challenging yet rewarding role will involve working closely with our Horticulture Manager to collect, catalogue, and store seeds in our seed bank, as well as assisting with tree growing for Skiddaw Forest.
You will be responsible for developing new opportunities for volunteers and young people in the work of our seed bank and propagation nursery. In addition, you will work with existing partners to enhance our conservation efforts and support the growth of native and rare plant species across Cumbria.
This is an excellent opportunity to combine your passion for horticulture and conservation while contributing to the preservation of Cumbria's unique wildlife and wild places. Our ideal candidate will possess a good general understanding of horticulture practices and experience working with volunteers, as well as organizing and leading activity sessions for groups.
Estimated Salary: £26,000 - £34,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
