Job Title: Principal Release Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Release Engineer to lead our team responsible for the successful and timely release of firmware products, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire release process, from branch management to software version control.
  • Lead a team of skilled engineers, providing mentorship and coaching.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute release plans.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality firmware releases to partners.
  • Manage CI pipelines for efficient and reliable release processes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in release management and automation for system software.
  • Deep understanding of software building and build management processes.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a distributed team.
  • Familiarity with open-source projects like Linux Kernel, TF-A, EDK II, and OpenBMC.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in release management of server-side firmware.
  • Hands-on experience with Yocto SDK.
  • Defect triaging and management expertise.
  • Knowledge of QA processes for platform software.
  • Familiarity with open-source projects such as Linux Kernel, TF-A, EDK II and OpenBMC.
