Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team in Thornbury, working collaboratively with clients to empower them to achieve their goals of independence, choice, and inclusion.

About the Role
  • Provide personalised support by contributing to individualised needs assessments and facilitating activities that reflect clients' choices and goals.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean living environment, managing laundry tasks, and preparing meals based on preferences.
  • Help clients arrange medical appointments, follow treatment plans, and manage their finances.
  • Encourage social engagement by helping clients access college courses and training programs.
  • Safely administer medication and advocate for clients while ensuring their safeguarding.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a care or support setting is desirable, ideally with adults with learning disabilities.
  • GCSE or equivalent; NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it is desirable but not essential.
  • A desire to promote clients' independence and inclusion, sensitivity towards their needs, good communication skills, flexibility, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
